MES

Manufacturing Execution System:

The MES can be defined as a system for executing, managing and tracking productions in progress in the workshop. Its role is to supervise machines and operators with a complete traceability of manufacturing information. The 2000s saw the massive deployment of ERP (Company Planning Resources) in the industry, which made it possible to plan and optimize the supply chain. 15 years later, a complementary need appears: to ensure continuity between ERP data and workshop operations through a complete digital chain from the creation of the Order of Manufacturing (OF) to the obtaining of the final product. At the heart of the Industry 4.0 revolution, the Manufacturing Execution System has created this digital link that is missing from the industrial ecosystem.
