Manufacturing Execution System :

MES can be defined as an execution system, management and monitoring of current productions in the workshop. Its role is to supervise machines and operators with full traceability of manufacturing information. Years 2000 saw the massive deployment of ERP (Company Resources planning) in industry, which made it possible to plan and optimize the supply chain. 15 years later an additional need arises : ensure continuity between ERP data and workshop operations through a complete digital chain since the creation of the Manufacturing Order (OF) until the final product is obtained. At the heart of the Industry revolution 4.0, the Manufacturing Execution System helped create this missing digital link in the industrial ecosystem.
